Tory Planning

A bit of a disaster.
Once more this Tory idea of relaxing planning requirements fails in implementation but manages to win for the wealthy at the expense of the poor.

Example. 3 Houses in a row, all had fair sized gardens. Planning laws relaxed. So now it's a race, who can afford to build the maximum size extension first? Why does it matter who gets there first? Because they can then object to any counter development next to them because the Party Wall Act is still firmly in place.

Result? Rich house wins. Two pissed off neighbours now suffering a loss of light and privacy invasion.

If you're in a terraced property and find your neighbour is going to try and make the most of this planning insanity, call a solicitor or surveyor and ask them to serve papers on your neighbour for Party Wall permissions. Worth a shot anyway. But ...

Therein hangs the next moronic part of Tory planning. Spot that one? In a terraced property (generally lower value) your options for taking advantage of the planning relaxation is reduced. In a fully detached property you get to have fun playing Grand Designs in your backyard and screw the neighbours.

"I've got mine. Screw you".
Lovely way to run a country in to the ground.

An utterly moronic plan from the utterly moronic Tory party.
